Here is an email that Adobe just sent out, for those who might not have seen it:
Dear Customer,
As a valued Elements membership customer, we want to let you know that Elements membership will be changing in the next version of Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Premiere Elements.
The next version of Elements will no longer support the in-product membership experience including syncing and storage. If you continue to use versions 7-10 of Photoshop Elements or Premiere Elements, the photos and videos in your catalog and albums will continue to be synced and stored. And rest assured they will also continue to be available online at www.photoshop.com.
We are working on some really exciting new technology that we think you will love and will share more with you in early 2013.
