Hi,

I am trying to roll out Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.278 to client machines using an internal deployment tool. I have downloaded the latest installer from the following adobe page http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

When I install it on a Company image of Windows XP or 7 machine and go to www.ft.com I get the following error.

ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable onMediaComplete is not defined.

at GoogleAnalytics/registerEvents()

at GoogleAnalytics/initialize()

at com.brightcove.api::CustomModule/onTemplateReady()

at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEventFunction()

at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent()

at com.brightcove.api.modules::ExperienceModule/wrapEvent()

at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEventFunction()

at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent()

at com.brightcove.player.api.modules::ExperienceAPI/onPlayerInstanceReady()

at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEventFunction()

People within the business have reported that this happens on other websites as well.

I have also installed it onto a vanilla build of Windows XP and it still shows that error.

When it installed on Windows XP, it does not show the size of the install in Add/Remove Programs.

However, if i install it off our network and install it via the website installer http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=JZEFT (without the Google Chrome Install) it works fine on both Company imaged machine and vanilla build. Also, it shows the size of the install in Add/Remove Programs.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I suspect you're running into problems with the debug build of Flash Player.  You can verify if you have the debug build installed by navigating to this page:

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html#main_Find_Flash_Player_version...

If it reports that debug is installed, you'll want to sign our distribution agreement (http://www.adobe.com/products/players/flash-player-distribution.html), uninstall the version that's been installed(http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/support/uninstall_flash_player.exe), and then download the appropriate installer from our distribution page(http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html).
