Apoorva Arora Jul 26, 2012 3:43 AM (in response to oninross)This will give you a detailed list of difference in features and functionalities available.

One FMS license works for one server instance only. You will have to buy different licenses for multiple servers.

oninross Jul 26, 2012 4:58 AM (in response to Apoorva Arora)Thank you for the fast reply. But I want to be very clear and double confirm with you: basing from the link you gave me, the only difference between a trial version and the paid version is the SIP?

Apoorva Arora Jul 26, 2012 5:16 AM (in response to oninross)In terms of feature availability there is no difference. As pointed out in the doc, all the features will be available for trial but to have a full time and free usage of them, you need to buy a license.

oninross Sep 17, 2012 1:45 AM (in response to Apoorva Arora)Hi again,
I would like to further clarify what does "one server instance only"? Is the licence attached to a domain/IP address or something? For example: if I have a domain name www.sample.com, in that server I have other subdomains (demo.sample.com, prod.sample.com, etc) do I need to buy additional licenses for those as well?

Michael Kennedy (12345) Sep 17, 2012 1:58 AM (in response to oninross)One license is for one server. You need to license each server on which you install the software. Most server software operates on a similar licensing policy.
You should read http://www.adobe.com/products/eula/flashmediaserver/multicorepolicy/ and http://www.adobe.com/products/eulas/pdfs/fms45_eula_final.pdf

- on the live side, if you are streaming for more than 10 minutes you need a non-dev license.
- The JIT HLS/HDS apache modules also link into the license (flick your apache server to debug to see what they log)
