amparose Sep 10, 2012 4:30 AM (in response to R_Kelly)There are 2 tmp files there that aren't Read Only and have Full Access on all users. The Adobe folder in that location is Read Only but the contents of it don't look relevant to this.

Chris Cox Sep 10, 2012 10:57 AM (in response to amparose)If you launch Photoshop by itself, do you get the same error about your disk permissions being messed up?
And check permissions at the root level of your scratch disks (since they may not have a TEMP folder).

amparose Sep 12, 2012 4:25 AM (in response to Chris Cox)I have been investigating further and I get the same error message above when I try to save anything as a Photoshop PDF.
I checked Security on the root of the scratch drive and set all users to have full access.
Still produces the error.

5. Re: Can't paste from Illustrator to pshop as smart object / pixels
amparose Sep 27, 2012 7:26 AM (in response to amparose)I think the correct answer from this thread might be the issue:
http://forums.adobe.com/message/4592865
I have an SSD for my OS drive that is low on space and so I move the temp/tmp folders to a different drive following these instructions: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-system/check-temp-environment-v ariable/b3f634ad-5649-4665-834f-b4c8570f9c34
I can't import a psd into AE either.
Is there a workaround to get Adobe software to work when temp/tmp are not on c: ?
