2. Re: Acrobat X Pro Upgrade allows only to upgrade from standard but NOT from a prior pro version...
DavidW7 Sep 30, 2012 6:04 AM (in response to Bill@VT)Yes, no doubt - it was parchased as an originally sealed retail box from a main stream authorized Adobe reseller physical store in the Silicon Valey (and not through the internet from a Chineese ad...).
The picture depicts a corner of the retail box. Original pic is high resolution but this forum forced me to reduce it significantly and there is too much light in the area of interest but I hope you can still read and see that 7, 8 & 9 Pro are omitted from the eligibility list. On the DVD itself cleary is written "Acrobat X Pro" (and even on the upper left corner of the picture you can see that it sends you to www.adobe.com/acrobatprouprage to check for availability which self contradicts the eligibility list to the right of it...).
Technical support from India says the problem is known but could not explain how a workaround works to fix it (I believe due to language barrier which I often noticed when falling on a T.S. from India). Any idea ho to reach TS in the US?

3. Re: Acrobat X Pro Upgrade allows only to upgrade from standard but NOT from a prior pro version...
Bill@VT Sep 30, 2012 12:48 PM (in response to DavidW7)I would just go to the Adobe site, but you have already done that. I think there are some better numbers, but I don't have a clue. The box seems to contradict the web site statement and I have a hard time believing you can't upgrade from Pro. That just does not make sense. Bill

DavidW7 Sep 30, 2012 1:52 PM (in response to Bill@VT)I agree it doesn't make sense. That is why I brought it up...
But again, what is more stunning is that an issue of that kind and scale is not addressed in Adobe's website since they MUST be aware of it!
