1. Re: Screen Mode Selection
Sudarshan Thiagarajan Oct 2, 2012 11:21 AM (in response to Tnmike)Can you try pressing 'F' key on your keyboard to see if your screen mode changes?
NOTE: You can change screen mode only when you have a document that is open. By default, when you open just Photoshop without any documents open in it, you cannot change the Screen mode.

R_Kelly Oct 3, 2012 5:13 AM (in response to Tnmike)I don't have recent mac, but on a windows system with photoshop cs6 the documents don't have to be tabbed to get all the screen modes.
Maybe someone could verify how it's supposed to work in photoshop cs6 on a mac os x system?
Does it matter whether you have the the application frame on or off?
(Window>Application Frame)

There is no need for consolidating to tabs here on OS X 10.6.8
The F-key cycling through screen modes (and screen mode menu items) is working with floating and tabbed docs, and with and without Application Frame.

Sudarshan Thiagarajan Oct 3, 2012 6:08 AM (in response to conroy)Conroy & Kelly,
I'm on 10.8.2 running CS6 and there is no need for 'tabs to be consolidated' either. The only pre-requisite whether or not the user is on Win/ Mac is that 1 document should at least be open. Screen Mode will not work with the default PS application screen without having documents open..

conroy Oct 3, 2012 6:27 AM (in response to Sudarshan Thiagarajan)Yep, that's what I find - at least one document must be open for screen mode to be changeable.
