Prob. with install of Flash Player 11

I just recently installed Flash Player 11.  I uninstalled all other versions before installing this one - now I can no longer view any contnet online if it requires a flash player because I keep getting the message that I need to install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.  After the install I did restart my computer - I run Windows Vista as an OS.  Any help, tips, or ideas???
