Error 0x6BA when installing Flash Player 11.3.300.270

I am deploying Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.270 via an .msi file to a number of computers running Windows XP, Vista, and 7.

In all cases, Flash Player installs properly on the PCs.  In a few cases, the installation reports an error 0x6BA.

Here are my questions:

1) What does error 0x6BA mean?

2) Why am I receiving this error, even when Adobe Flash Player has installed successfully?

I haven't run into that error before.  Could you post the contents of your flashinstall.log?

Where do I find the Flash Player installation log on Windows?

It's possible we're running into a permissions error here.  Could you try the steps listed in this FAQ?

How do I fix Windows permission problems with Flash Player?

Hello Chris,

I tried the steps listed in the article you send me above.  I am now using Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.287.

Here was the outcome:

1) The SubInACL script ran without any errors

2) The SubInACL script did not detect an permissions problems in the file system or the registry

3) I am running the installation of Adobe Flash Player under the SYSTEM context, so I should have permission to do anything on the PC

4) The package still installs successfully, but I receive the 0x6BA error on 9 different makes and models of computers

Here is the latest FlashInstall.log file from one of my affected systems:

Here are my questions:

1) What does error 0x6BA mean?

2) Why am I receiving this error, even when Adobe Flash Player has installed successfully?

3) Why do I not see the 0x6BA error in the FlashInstall.log file?  Is this error logged in some other file?

4) What other data would you like me to collect so that you can diagnose this issue?
