John T Smith Oct 30, 2012 9:29 PM (in response to getho)I will GUESS that has something to do with your (unnamed) graphics adapter (ATI... nVidia... ???) and/or the driver version

2. Re: premiere crashes
getho Oct 30, 2012 11:21 PM (in response to John T Smith)that 2nd error was to do with trying to preview an audio file

so i tried ditching all the preview files and its been running OK for the last 2 hours. But the last time I had an editing session it also crapped out 2 or 3 times, and then ran stably. Ho hum.
So its a desktop system. Graphics nvidia gtx 275, with a recent (stable) driver.
12gb ram, i7 920 cpu on asus 6ptd deluxe.
2 monitors.
Recent Bios
no 3rd party display hardware.

4. Re: premiere crashes
John T Smith Sep 12, 2013 1:15 PM (in response to TioBug)>two GPUs. Nvidia GTX560 and ATI 7770
Different brands and different drivers is VERY likely not going to work

5. Re: premiere crashes
TioBug Sep 12, 2013 1:32 PM (in response to John T Smith)It worked fine before this last update. The ATI wasn't being used to display premiere. I was under the impression that it would be an issue when I installed the ATI, but this is the only problem I have had. I don't think it has a relation to the two different cards though.
