Cant redownload flash player

I started getting messeges from websites I use all the time (google street view, ancestry.com, etc. ) that I needed to install falsh player 10 or better,  even though it is already installed on my computer. I tried deinstalling and reinstalling flashplayer, but I still get the same messages.
