1. Re: Colouring paths of same object differently?
Mylenium Nov 7, 2012 1:51 AM (in response to cgguven)Duplicate the path, split the path at its anchor points, delete the unwanted segments. then apply the stroke only to those parts and the fill only to the original.

2. Re: Colouring paths of same object differently?
Steve Fairbairn Nov 7, 2012 7:59 AM (in response to cgguven)Here are 2 ways:
The upper picture shows a rectangle with a clipping mask. I gave the mask a black stroke so that you can see it.
Below is a pink square with no stroke.
Copy it and delete the vertical lines.
Give the remaining horizontal lines a stroke colour.
Position the strokes over the square.
The latter method is probably quicker and requires less fiddling around.
On the other hand the masking method may prove easier to work with if you have irregular shapes and not just rectangles.

cgguven Nov 7, 2012 8:29 PM (in response to Steve Fairbairn)Thanks Steve for suggesting two different ways. I believe I'll have to go with the clipping mask method as the shape I'm working on is actually an irregular one.
