Trouble with installing on mac ppc 10.4.11

I can't install digital editions on my mac ppc running 10.4.11 it says when i try to install "error communicating with adobe id server. please try again later and it says E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY. I keep trying, same result. Chatted with adobe, they couldn't help. any ideas. it worked before my puter crashed last time. Any answers????

I use adobe digital editions 1.7 for mac which should work for my ppc software.

Which ADE version do you use? I think ADE 2.0 supports Mac OS X 10.6, 10.7, and 10.8 Intel only...
