Monika Gause Nov 14, 2012 1:56 AM (in response to CHMprepress)Do you use a font manager?

CHMprepress Nov 14, 2012 3:08 AM (in response to Monika Gause)Yes, FontExplorer X.
But that is not the problem I think, like I said in CS4 it is OK, and that is on the same sytem same FontExplorer. The only diffirence is the CS version.

well, if my fonts were not loaded correctly, then I would most certainly include the font manager in the list of suspects.
Have you updated Font Explorer to the latest version?
Have you checked their website and FAQ for possible known errors?

4. Re: CS5 font problems splash screen is not right.
CHMprepress Nov 14, 2012 3:26 AM (in response to Monika Gause)Let me try to explain better. Even without fonts we get this problem, what we do is this:
- don't load fonts
- open document in CS 4, gives a splash screen with missing fonts and this is OK
- open same document in CS 5, gives a splash screen (or sometimes not, depending on the used fonts) info in that splash screen is not right.
We suspect it has something to do with Illustrator CS5 not supporting non official postscript fonts anymore, but this is only a wild guess.

Monika Gause Nov 14, 2012 4:37 AM (in response to CHMprepress)In order to rule out Font Explorer, please deactivate it.
