Hi.

For the last 2 versions of adobe flash, we have been having some problems in Internet explorer. If a user upgrades from an earlier version, 2 out 3 will have problems in IE9, that its just stuck/hangs/not Responding, if there is any flash on the site.  If i disable flash active x, it works fine.

So if i uninstall flash and install again, i works fine. But if a user do an upgrade, it gives us problems. The problem is on manuelt upgrade and Remote upgrade installation.

Can anyone share some light on this problem, maybe?

Regards

Jesper

We have come a bit further with the case on out own.

it seem to be because the system32/macromed/flash/FlashUtil64_11_5_502_110_ActiveX.dll file is missing.

the log file says it is copied, but its not located in the folder.  As soon as iexplorer process is running the dll file will not be copied to the location and flash fails when vissiting websites.

but if a disable UAC, and start the IE9 and go to a site with flash i will work.

Could you please share some light on this case please.

What is your current Flash Player version that gives you problems?

You write that you don't have problems when you do a clean install, but when you do an upgrade.

How about after an automated background update?

The problem is when a user do an upgrade by hand or we do it from our cms system.

as soon as the iexplorer is running in the process,  the dll file is not created in the macromed/flash folder.

Automated Update is disabled do to we had this problem, så now I only installed the updates by CMS where i make sure that iexplorer is not running before upgrade or install. This is only on win7 machines. Xp no problem.

here is the logfile.
