Installing a newer version will automatically remove and invalidate previous installs, so there should be no need to do anything.

If you have indeed still older FP versions installed, I suggest that you download and run the FP uninstaller from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html or http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html, then restart your system and reinstall the latest FP version.
