I opened a web site and it said I needed Adobe Flash 9 or greater.  This was a surprise since I had recently updated my adobe flash to 11.  Add/Remove programs said adobe Flash was there.  I uninstalled and went to the website and downloaded Adobe Flash 11 again and installed it.  The web site said I had successfully installed it.  But none of the web sites requiring Flash work.  They all still kee saying I need to download and install Adobe Flash 9 or greater.  What's going on?

What's your operating system and browser?

You should ensure that Flash Player is enabled in your browser.

If you are using Windows and Internet Explorer:

- Disable ActiveX Filtering

- Enable Flash Player in Internet Explorer

Thanks,

Sunil

Where is Active X filtering?

Flash Player is not mentioned anywhere in Internet Explorer.  There was a new Add-on called Adobe Shockwave Object which I enabled, but no mention of Adobe flash.

Update:  Enabling Shockwave object has got sites requiring Flash working.

ActiveX Filtering is applicable only if you are on Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9.

The Add-on name is Adobe Shockwave Object. And, you enabled it too.

Do you still have issues?

Please close and open Internet Explorer and visit the following page: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html

Let us know what it tells about the Flash Player status.

Thanks,

Sunil
