captivate 5.5 - problem with pause/resume while recording

My computer does not have a pause/break button, so I just re-set from preferences the gloabl key to stop and resume the video while recording.

I tried several combinations but it does not seem to work.

Is there a workaround for this bug?

What combination of keys did you use or was it a single key shortcut?

does both the modified shortcuts for Pause as well as Stop does not work?

I tried to use control + q

Stop works fine when clicking on the Cp icon; it is just pause that is giving me trouble. I tried attaching an exterior keyboard with a pause button, but no luck.

Do you have an idea what's wrong?

Hi Lisa,

I had the same problem. When you are recording a project or slide, you have to record in Automatic mode, not full motion. Than the Pause button works fine.
