Actionlist not found...?

Help,

I'm trying to install Adobe Flash Player on Windows XP but I always get the error message "Actionlist not found"

I've tried everything that has been suggested on the Adobe support pages, and turned down on the chat list because I didn't have a support contract.

Now I turn to you for some proper help.
