Adobe Flash Player won't download

adobe flash player won't download on my computer everytime I start the download it gets to 50% then says Internet explorer needs to be closed but still wont work after I close Internet explorer. can someone please help me get it to work

Use the Task Manager's Processes tab to check if it is running in the background.  Make sure you close anything that uses Flash Player; messengers, chat clients, Skype, etc.
