Moving this discussion to the Installing Flash Player forum.  If you have already tried downloading from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ then please check to see if there is updates available for your anti-virus software.

I would suggest running a malware scanner (http://www.malwarebytes.org/) on your system as it's possible something is overriding this download.  As far as our executables go, they are clean and safe to install.  I've confirmed this by running them through 3 different virus scanners just now.

You might want to try another antivirus vendor to see if this is isolated to AVG

I have AVG 2013.0.2805 installed, and I have no problems downloading any Flash Player installers.

What is your AVG version?

i had avg 2013 which i uninstalled and now i cant re-install it because

im getting the same security message when i download anything from the

internet, it installes to 100% until it gets to checking security

status then i get the message 'contained a virus and was deleted',

could this be something on my internet security settings, i get the

same message when i try to install adobe flash and update windows

hi not sure if you got my last email as have had no reply, my avg was

2013 which i have uninstalled and now i cant reinstall due to the fact

im having trouble with downloading flash player and anything else from

the net with the same problem, starts to download to 100% then gets to

security check and comes back with contained a virus and was deleted so

problem not with avg because now i dont have anti virus but could the

problem be somehow connected with internet security settings
