    Matching Vocal Quality

Hi, all.  I'm pretty new to audio work, so bear with me.  I have a clip that's extracted from video footage.  The first half of the clip is fine, but in the second half, my two actors got pretty quiet, so I had to boost the volume.  After that, I ended up having to remove some noise and in the resulting clip, the sound is very different in the two halves.  I'm trying to get them to match up a little better, but am unsure of how to go about it.  I tried boosting the low and low-mid frequencies, which helped a lot, but it still has a bit of a tin-can sound.  Any suggestions?  The clip, with my alterations so far, can be found at...
