how do I stop flash player 11.5.502.135 from continually reinstalling?
My system, and 11 of my customer's systems, are plagued by Flash Player trying to reinstall every 5-10 minutes all day long.
The systems are Windows 7, 64 bit with all patches installed; all users are running IE9.
I have uninstalled all Adobe and Flash Player entries (using Programs and Features). I have deleted all Adobe directories from Program Files and Program Data through AppData. I have removed all Adobe and Flash Player entries from the HKCU/Software and HKLM/Software in the registry.
I have downloaded and run Microsoft's subinacl.msi and Adobe's reset_fp11.bat per the Adobe Forums.
However, everytime I visit a website that uses Flash Player, it demands to be downloaded. And everytime I download and reinstall it, it begins its incessant demands to reinstall it every 5-10 minutes.
I've had it, this has been going on for week and weeks. Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop this ridiculous piece of junk from harrassing me and my customers?
How exactly does it "demand to reinstall"? I have exactly the same system as you, and I have never observed anything like that.
What files do you have in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash ?
What is the contents of the mms.cfg file in C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash ?
