Problems downloading and installing digital editions

Having problems download and installing digital editions.  it will download but not run even when I go to downloads and run as administrator.  I have been doing this for hours.  I am running windows vista premium home edition on my laptop.  Can anyone help as to where I may be going wrong.

As per the tech specs, Win Vista does not meet the system requirement for insalling ADE 2.0
