John T Smith Dec 30, 2012 8:53 AM (in response to moonplace)When the automatic updater won't work, do it manually
All Adobe updates start here and select product, read to see if you need to install
updates in number order, or if the updates are cumulative for the individual product

John T Smith Dec 30, 2012 12:33 PM (in response to moonplace)The usual cause of an automatic update not working is a firewall setting
A firewall setting has even been known to cause a crash http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/857/cpsid_85711.html
As long as you are able to do a manual update, you should be OK
