I'm pretty curious about a lot of things. Forgive me ok. s

      • If i download a brush/preset/pattern/etc. where can i find it? And if i need to unzip it, where do i drag the file?
      • If i delete a file that is a prest, will the content still be in photoshop?
      • what is the difference between a PSD, and a texture?
      • the difference between 'video frames to layers' and 'load files into stacks'
      • do i have to download a video in order to get a gif out of it?
      • thank you. x there'll be more in the future. I got the basics and i caught on pretty quickley though.

          Hi there

          • See this help document for information on how to correctly install Photoshop presets including brushes and patterns. Note that the Presets file will contain separate folders for each type of preset (i.e. brushes go in the brushes folder, patterns go in the patterns folder, etc.)

          • Presets can be permanently deleted by going into the presets folder referenced above. You can also manage your presets by going to Edit > Presets > Preset Manager while in Photoshop. For an in-depth look at managing presets in Photoshop, go here.

          • A PSD is a file format (short for Photoshop Document). This is the document format specifically for Photoshop. A texture is usually an image that can be virtually any file type, but you can also download texture brushes to use. Examples of downloadable textures can be found here.

          • "Video frames to layers" does exactly what it says: after importing a video in Photoshop, this function will take individual frames and convert them into individual layers. "Load files into stacks" allows you to open multiple files and have them "stack" into their own individual layers within the same file.

          • Yes, in order to make an animated gif from a video file, you'll have to start by using the File > Import > Video frames to layers function you mentioned above. This means that the video has to be installed on your computer.

Hope this helps! Also, in the future, please split your questions into separate posts. This way, others can benefit from the answers provided. Thank you!
