You are right, I'll check out my settings, getting tired here, that is the problem I've been using the Canon 5D Mark II and lost the plot...................,
I did set it up as HDV ?

as there is no issue with the Canon and the capture is easily done on a Dell M6600.
Whereas the Dell T5500 is now not capturing HDV/mpeg-2 , after 2 years is a mystery, everything else is fine.?
Ps. Dell Technical replaced video card and checked connection,issue solved.
