Hi VLabs,

It depends on what version of CF you have currently on your system. ColdFusion 10, ColdFusion 9, and ColdFusion 8 can coexist on the same system.

But if you have CF10 installed on the computer and it's licensed you can change it to developer edition.

Please refer : http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/10.0/Installing/coldfusion_10_install.pdf

Hi Rave,

Thank you for the reply!!

We have 9,0,0,251028  enterprise version was already installed and running in the server. Now we are planning to install CF v10 developer edition with out replacing the existing version 9,0,0,251028.

We have heard with v10 is embedded with tomcat ?? please let us know the difference between v9 and v10, Does V9 do not have tomcat?

Also, let us know the differences between  "JRUN and J2EE"  & "server configuration and J2EE configuration".

Our plan is after the installation of v10, Still we should able to run the sites with old CFv9 version.

Waiting for your reply!!

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,

Ravi.

Hi There,

You can install ColdFusion 9 and ColdFusion 10 on the same server without any issue. ColdFusion 9 was running on JRun however from ColdFusion 10 it is running on Tomcat,ColdFusion 9 doesn't have Tomcat.

Question: Are you planning to install ColdFusion 10 in Production Server??

Thanks
