1. Re: Premiere Pro 2.0 HDV problem
JSS1138 Jan 10, 2013 3:41 PM (in response to JMJarrige)I'm not aware of Adobe ever offering a 'free' version of Premiere in any iteration. The closest is a trial version, which is limited to 30 days and previous to 5.5, did not work with all media (including HDV).

Where did you get this "free" version and license number?
If you obtained this from any place other than Adobe, you may have a pirate/hacked version... and such software often comes with malware that will do VERY bad things to your computer

Jeff Bellune Jan 10, 2013 6:07 PM (in response to John T Smith)NB: The very legit link to download CS2 is here:
http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html
And some amplifying info is here:

4. Re: Premiere Pro 2.0 HDV problem
JMJarrige Jan 10, 2013 11:49 PM (in response to Jeff Bellune)Thank you Jeff to give precisely the link from Adobe which caused the issue : I had the information on a technical forum in France,
which made me think that this old version was proposed free, as it does not support the new video formats and operating systems.
When starting this PrPro2, I found the HDV problem, and saw the large misunderstanding (unfortunately coming from Adobe) about
thi "free really not free" version.
So for John T Smith, I had the info (download and license number) from Adobe site......which is for sure free of viruses !
Ouf.
I only have to uninstall this software to return to my normal Elements 9 and 11 only usage.
Merci.
JM
