1. Re: Encore: Transcoding stops after 100% with error message.
Stan Jones Jan 12, 2013 4:53 AM (in response to 89Celeste)I don't recall anyone with this error. What is the exact wording of the error?
Is this using "transcode now" or transcoding as part of the "build" process?
I wonder if it is an operating system error rather than Encore.

2. Re: Encore: Transcoding stops after 100% with error message.
89Celeste Jan 12, 2013 4:59 AM (in response to Stan Jones)I will have to start transcoding agaian to get the wording. It happens with the building process. I actually think it mentioned something about an error with the operating system and after that message it said that the file is being used elsewhere.

3. Re: Encore: Transcoding stops after 100% with error message.
Stan Jones Jan 12, 2013 5:12 AM (in response to 89Celeste)Let us know when you get it again.
There are a variety of errors related to permissions. Use "run as administrator."
This thread describes this:

For one time, all you have to do is what John describes in the very first paragraph.

4. Re: Encore: Transcoding stops after 100% with error message.
89Celeste Jan 12, 2013 7:12 AM (in response to Stan Jones)I did it again and got two errors.:
1. Adobe Encore Debug event: Adobe Encore has encounterd an error
[..\..\Src\Win\Winfile.cpp-785]
2. Operating system Error: number 0x 00000020- The Process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

5. Re: Encore: Transcoding stops after 100% with error message.
Stan Jones Jan 12, 2013 8:29 AM (in response to 89Celeste)I would use the run as administrator method.
If no success and the Encore project is not too complicated, I would recreate the whole Encore prject, using the run as administrator method throughout. If it is complicated, I'd do things like clearing/deleting the cache files, checking whether Encore sees the transcoded files. I might attempt to relink the transcoded files if they go to 100% and were saved in the Encore project.
To be very thorough about this, we need more information:
PC or MAC? What type of disk setup? Where are the project files. temp files, and the asset files?
