Updates to adobe flash player

hi, i have adobe reader 9, every time i update adobe flash player, my comp refuses to restart and repairs itself. It goes back to the last restore point. Happened once last year and it happened again today..... It's the only update i have downloaded both times it happened so it cant be anything else.....

Why oh why......
