Trouble Authorizing Computer & Device

I'm having trouble authorizing my computer and nook color. When I try it gives me a notification - activation server error code: E_AUTH_NOT_READY. I also get the message that my computer is authorized without an ID. I do have an Adobe ID. Why is the computer not recognizing it. And then of course I cannot "read" my books from sony ereader on my nook color which is what I'm trying desperately to do.

You may need to deauthorize the computer first, ctrl-shift-D, then reauthorize it with your Adobe ID.

If you have any devices that are recognized by ADE but don't seem to be authorized correctly,

you may need to deauthorize those (ctrl-shift-E) and reauthorize them.
