Flash Player Download Issues

I've downloaded flash player several times on my computer due to captions stating that a flash player is needed to view this video. Do you think the problem could be with the settings?

it could be faulty web page or a local (on your computer) failure.

can you see swf or flash video files anywhere or is this a problem everywhere.  if everywhere, check your fp version: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
