The Adobe website (http://www.adobe.com/products/flash-builder.html) says that the upgrade from FB 4.5 to FB 4.7 is complimentary. Yet, when I try to enter the 4.5 serial number into 4.7, it says the serial # is invalid.
I chatted with Adobe Customer support today. After a very long discussion about my serial #'s and when I bought it, etc, etc., the representative said this ...
Navin: I am sorry but it has been stopped to give up the free upgrade.
Either the rep was mistaken or the website is mistaken. It would be nice if someone from Adobe could comment on this. Or perhaps someone from the user community who has got to the bottom of this could comment.

@Mike: Unfortunately, Fb 4.5 serial keys cannot be re-used in Fb 4.7 (this is actually because of the new ability in 4.7 to have side-by-side installs of 4.5 and 4.7).

Thank goodness that I am not alone. no one is of any help. Clearly my copy is legal and eligible for upgrade from 4.6 to 4.7.
