adobe will not open my download

a message appears stating adobe is unable to open the download citing that adobe is either not compatible or a defect occured -  i ran the adobe test run downloads - same problem - i re-installed the program-same result [email removed]

Which operating system?

What's the exact error message? Any error code?

As John said, you need to tell us at least what product you are trying to download/ install onto what system.

Adobe message : Adobe Reader could not open " Secret Father a Novel

19780547526836.ACSM " because it is either not a supported file type or

because the file has been damaged [ for example, it was sent as a email

attachment and wasn't correctly coded. This problem has occurred on all my

attempts to download various files and lists from my regional Library and

freeDictionary ect. Thanks
