I am using Adobe Digital Editions on Windows XP for reading E-books from my regional library. At least I was until today.

I checked out 3 books and couldn't open the download for any of them. I uninstalled the program and re-installed it 5 times. Same result.

Message Box reads:

What does this mean in English?

Which version of ADE are you using?  Did you change version recently?

Many people find v1.7.2 runs better under XP than V2.0 does.

There are various issues with V2.0; however, I haven't heard of that particular one, so I'm afraid a switch may not help.

Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.
