Mylenium Jan 21, 2013 10:56 PM (in response to nrhs62)You need to reainstall the programs properly. That's all there is to it. Run the installers from your DVDs/ original downloads or get them here:

nrhs62 Jan 22, 2013 9:47 AM (in response to Mylenium)Thanks. Reinstall is the solution. "Properly" is the question. My CS5.5 boxed package is an Upgrade Version from CS3 boxed version (2007). Do I need to start my install on my new MacBook Pro with CS3? Or will my CS5.5 Upgrade Version install OK?

Mylenium Jan 22, 2013 9:57 AM (in response to nrhs62)You don't need to install CS3. The CS5 upgrade will/ should ask for the old serial number during the install process for verification.

4. Re: CS5.5 InDesign won't launch after migration from iMac to MacBook Pro
serrini Jul 6, 2014 10:12 AM (in response to nrhs62)Hey, I had a similar problem:
Migrated from my 2011 macbook pro to new tower (2014) - Was running Adobe CC now running Adobe CC 2014 (great naming conventions). When I would run the app (after effect, premiere, photoshop, any of them) I would get an error message that it couldnt create a "dummy" file in /users/me/library/applications/adobe/ etc...
noting on the web, but I realized that OSX was hiding that folder, so in terminal I commanded "chflags nohidden ~/Library" ipso facto the folder appeared.
I also had some permission errors (it kept asking for my password to delete/rename folders... classic OSX) so I CMD+I the library folder, switched everything to "read and write" set the gear to "apply to enclosed items" and then relaunched the program.
Worked like a charm.
Donno if that helps your sitch, but maybe someone else out there runs into this hiccup and it helps.
Peace.
