Does Flash Player load when you visit this page?  If so, what version is reported installed?

Could you try installing our latest Flash Player 11.6 labs release and let me know if that makes a difference?  My initial guess would have been that your ActiveX object wasn't enabled or filtering was turned on, but you've checked that.  What version was displayed in IE's manage add-ons dialog when you inspected Shockwave Flash Player?

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks Chris. The Shockwave Flash Object version is 11.5.502.146. I uninstalled it and tried installing 11.6 beta from the adobe labs but the installation failed giving the error msg ActiveX flash object could not be registered.

Thanks

I'm looking into the install error.  My hunch is that there's a permission issue that's blocking the ActiveX control from being registered.  While we wait for the install team to get back to me, please try running the script outlined in the FAQ below that attempts to correct registry, file and folder permissions.

How do I fix Windows permission problems with Flash Player?

As for safe mode fixing the games, this leads me to believe that there's some other utility/service that is being loaded on normal startup that is blocking Flash from working.  This is usually caused by security/virus/ad blocking software.  Try disabling these to see if that makes a difference.

Thanks,

Chris

I talked with our installer team and they told me that the error you received was due to inadequate registry access when trying to register the active x control.  Can you try the following:

1. In your start menu, type cmd

2. Right click the command prompt icon that is found and select "run as administrator"

3. Type "cd:\C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\" and hit enter

4. Type "regsvr32 Flash64_11_6_602_146.ocx"

What does the dialog that appears say?

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks for ur help Chris ...

The msgbox had this msg "The module "flash64_11_6_602_146.ocx" was loaded but the call to dllregisterserver failed with error code 0x80070005"

Can we do a desktop sharing session Chris, I will uninstall this version and install 11.5.502.146 and u can check why it does not work in normal mode. What is that process/service which is not there in Safe mode and runs in normal mode, which prevents flash to work.

There is another information, not sure if it is of any help or not ..I have downgraded to IE8 and when I load the adobe flash player webpage (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=JZEFT), it shows a warning msg (Yellow triangle) in the bottom left corner which says

Webpage error details

I'd be happy to help, though I can't make any promisses that I'll be able to solve this issue.  This is definitely not normal behavior.

Please send email to ccampbel@adobe.com and we can schedule something for next week.

Thanks,

Chris
