Captivate v5.5

I am creating a project and started an automatic recording of some actions on our web page.

When I finished my recording there was a longer than usual delay and then I got a message on screen that said something like

"Recording failed due to system resources not available".

Can someone explain what this means please ?

Hello,

Welcome to Adobe Forums.

Do you have a MAC or Windows ?

Are you recording something specific (An application or IE) ?

As a test did you recorded anything else ?

Any possibility for screenshot ?

Thanks,

Vikram

Hi Vikram and thanks for the reply.

1. Windows XP Prof. 32-bit SP3

2. Was recording the scrolling from top to bottom of a window within our website using Mozilla Firefox (18.0.1) using Captivate "Automatic" recording setting

3. Later I tried recording smaller scrolling wondow (same settings etc as above). This worked OK. I have to assume the error was something due to the size of the window I was scrolling...

4. No screenshot I am afraid, as error message cleared down before I could take a copy.

Hello,

Does it happen with any other website on which you need to do scrolling ?

If yes, might be a specific website issue.

If no, then possibly something unexpected (Could be a setting or permission) that caused crash.

Thanks,

Vikram
