Flash player download times out with MacBook Air & Mountain Lion?

I can't manage to download Adobe Flash Player onto a brand new Apple MacBook Air with Mountain Lion OS using Safari.

I have tried many times from the ASdobe website and every time, the download starts and after maybe 15secs the screen comes up with "Connection Time Out''.

I have searched everywhere for help.
