Hi, I have a client who is hell bent on exporting ppt presentations into .pdf file, keeping all animations. Is this possible with Adobe Presenter?

Presenter can output to PDF, but it is a single page PDF that plays the presentation within that page. So the navigation will be different from a standard PDF. However, it should retain all the animations.

Download the trial and see if it meets their needs: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=presenter

Yes, PC only. You could also look at Captivate, which has a similar publish to PDF function, but is available for Mac.
