Opening PPT animation slide in Captivate 6 looks funny

Hi everyone,

thanks for your help.

I originally created a powerpoint presentation with animations on slides. Then I discovered Captivate 6. So we bought it and want to transfer the slides to Captivate, which is relatively unproblemtatic, except for the animations, which don't translate well at all. The play, but only show half the image, get stuck, freeze, and so on.

What can I change? Do I have to do all animations over again? That would be so frustrating. Any suggestions?

Thanks so much!

Nat

Have you used the High Fidelity option when importing the PPT files?

I added two screen shots. The first one shows what it's supposed to look like:

The second one here shows what it partially looks like. The waves are supposed to move from the inside out, like waves, but it gets stuck, freezes, however you want to call it.

I used a PC to produce the slides in powerpoint, windows 7. When we bought Captivate we bought versions for Mac as well as for PC and this problem occurs on both computers, even the one this slide was produced on.

Please, really need some assistance with this. I will try anything, as long as I don't have to redo all of those animations...

Thanks so much!

I don't think so, how do I do that? When I imported the ppt file I created a new project by "create new from Microsoft PowerPoint", then I chose the powerpoint project and opened it. Is there a different way? Better way?

OMG! It worked!! I didn't see the option, because I'm the one working from the Mac, it's only available with Windows. YAY! So excited!!! So to everyone from here on: Use the high fidelity option to import ppt to captivate on PC!
