Very interesting, and thank you for posting the link.

I came to digital image manipulation via Scitex, and then, Aldus PhotoStyler. I knew that I was looking at the future. Shortly, Adobe bought much of the Aldus portfolio, concentrating on PageMaker. Within months, Adobe issued their version 2.5 of Photoshop for the PC, and I picked that up. I had seen Photoshop 1.x on their Mac, but quickly realized that they, my clients, were art directors, and not photographers. I felt that I could do better, and with PS 2.5, proved that I could. For me, a great and wonderful journey was begun.

I was very glad that I put my stock in Photoshop, as with the demise of Aldus, PhotoStyler was dead, though its design team went on to form Ulead, and introduce several related products. Still, Photoshop was the right way to go. I never looked back.

          Thank you,
