I can point you in the direction of a web site that compares different PCs by having the owners run a test and submit the results. Narrow it down to just the people using CS6 and you will see right off the bat which processors and drive arrangements are the fastest. Check out http://www.ppbm5.com

Alan Craven Feb 19, 2013 7:48 AM (in response to sankoor2012)This is not the answer you want to hear, and I am not trying to be offensive, but if you need to ask these very basic questions, are you sure you are capable of building your own system? A good editing system requires a lot more knowledge than an office machine to build.
In any case, there are countless identical threads on this hardware forum, really you could take your pick of many of those!
