Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below... a screen shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing

4. Re: "Black" clip on import
Jim_Simon Feb 19, 2013 9:45 AM (in response to fetusticianpj)Try a different output format. MP4 seems to work pretty well. There's even a lossless option under Video Encoding if you want it.

5. Re: "Black" clip on import
fetusticianpj Feb 19, 2013 9:54 AM (in response to Jim_Simon)The GE equipment has only two option, uncompressed and Cinepack. the clip i use are "uncompressed"
I can play them in http://mpc-hc.org/ and capture with Camtasia, but this is a little clumsy ...

Ann Bens Feb 19, 2013 9:56 AM (in response to Jim_Simon)You do not need to convert mjpeg.

13. Re: "Black" clip on import
fetusticianpj Feb 19, 2013 1:49 PM (in response to Jim_Simon)I found an OK work-around. Using FreeMake (http://www.freemake.com/) and selectign XVID, I got a format that Premiere can read, from that I can now convert to B&W, crop, export to Sorensen and then compress to SWF... Pfeww .. Thanks everyone for helping !
