    Sizing tab panels

    kenackr Community Member

I'm working on a design that has a horizontal menu with a header above it and one page with a 3 tab panel below it. That page also has a slide show on the center tab.  The tab panel bounding box for that page is larger than my A Master (960X480) so it extends the height  of the page it's on. When I try to reduce the height of the tab panel, it always snaps back to it's original shape. Screen shots to help clarify. The lower shot of the page where the problem is, shows the bounding box of the Tab container (white handles on it) that will not be modified. I have tried both the handles and the width & height boxes in the tabbed panel line above. What am I missing?

This is most likely happening due to the much larger sized slide show in the center tab that is causing the jump in order to maintain the size of the slide show container and hence leading to consistency in the height of each of the tabbed panels.

If this is the case, you would need to resize the Hero image of the slide show accordingly and move the caption and count closer to the image that would reduce the overall size of the slide show container. You should then be able to resize the tabbed panel.

          Thanks,

            Vinayak,

            Thank you for the response.

I eliminated the the caption, count, and previous & next previously. The only thing left is the picture frame itself.

I will test your suggestion by removing the slide show to see what happens to the tab boundry.

Will advise when completed with test.

              Vinayak,

It turns out that I had dragged the envelope boundary from the Tab line itself to near the bottom of the original frame size when constructing the original slide show  and that was what caused the over size page display. I have now fixed it.

              Thanks for your help!
