Hi,

as the title already tells, I had an update of my flashplayer .... it could not start because of an error: d3d10warp.dll - invalid picture ...

I tried a new full installtion... but it did not work either...

after that I went into the CMD and made a scan:  sfc /scannow ...  the textdata of CBS told me, that sfc was not able to  repair "d3d10warp.dll" ....

ok...

and what now?

[I have Win7, 64bit, lenovo and no backup-cd or anything else.. just a recovery-button..]

(sry for my bad english )

It would be very nice to receive helpful answers

Can you search your system if you have another copy of "d3d10warp.dll" somewhere?  If you find another one, is it the same version?

I have two ones of 1.11 MB in the folders

C:\Windows\SysWOW64

and

C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-directx-warp10_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_ec6b0dcfb4ee778c

and another two ones of 1.75 MB in the folders

C:\Windows\System32

and

C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-directx-warp10_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_4889a9536d4be8c2

They were all created at the same time.

There is a last one which I downloaded two days ago into my download folder.

Do not download dll files from so-called dll download sites.  You will always need the dll that matches the rest of your operating system.

In your case you have the correct replacement files already on your system, most likely from some Windows updates.  I suggest that you proceed as follows

  1. create a System Restore Point; see http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Create-a-restore-point
  2. on C:\Windows\System32 rename d3d10warp.dll to something like d3d10warp.dll-old
  3. copy d3d10warp.dll from C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-directx-warp10_31bf3856ad364 e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_4889a9536d4be8c2 to C:\Windows\System32
  4. on C:\Windows\SysWOW64 rename d3d10warp.dll to something like d3d10warp.dll-old
  5. copy d3d10warp.dll from C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-directx-warp10_31bf3856ad364e3 5_6.1.7601.17514_none_ec6b0dcfb4ee778c to C:\Windows\SysWOW64

Now download and run the offline installer(s) from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#main-pars_hea...
