This computer is based in France but only runs English software. Pervious versions of Flash Player were always in English but now after the latest software update it is in French. Impossible to correct this and download the English update.

you can download and install an older version: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
assuming your os is in french which causes the problem.
you may need to uninstall your current fp: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html or http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

Thank you, kglad, but it did not work. My os is English (W7), the only thing I ever did was to set the computer to French in the beginning to set the date and currency right. Everyting else is English US. I did uninstall, then tried instal, but as I click on "get latest version" I still go to the french download sreen.
I also clicked "Current version Flash Player English". In the next screen you can choose US or Your Country. I choose UK, but you still end up with the french download. I have never had this before, I suppose you changed the download script.
Is there way to set the country name in the computer afterwards ?

How do you update? Manual download, or automatic update?

It's not the country setting, but the language setting that may direct the installer language.
I will check on my W7 computer at home where exactly that is set. (I have the same problem when the language is set to Japanese.)
