Now that John McAfee has been arrested for murder, can Adobe offer us some other piece of software that we do not want with the far too numerous Flash updates?
Every time I see that I have to opt out of installing McAfee, I say to myself "That's the guy who shot his neighbor in the back of the head with a 9mm Luger."

John McAfee is no longer associated with McAfee Inc.

He may not be associated with them, but I associate them with him.
"McAfee Internet Security" <===> "McAfee's Neighbor Needed Security"
"Adobe Flash Player" <===> "Be Very Careful Installing This"

I don't particularly want McAfee, either, but that's because I already have Norton. If I hadn't noticed that it was installing both Flash and McAfee when I initiated the most recent update installation, it could have created problems on my PC -- no one needs two anti-virus programs.
I realize y'all must have a nice little "synergy" set up with McAfee, but I would appreciate it if Adobe would stop pushing McAfee's wares. At a minimum, opt-out should be the default instead of assuming that of course, everyone wants to install more software on their computer.

You are addressing the wrong people here; we are users like you, and we don't like McAfee either (although it's not as bad as Norton!).
To get around the unwanted 3rd-party software we just use the offline installers; their download addresses are published several dozen times every day here at the forum.

That HAS TO BE the funniest thing I've ever read in these pages... ever.
You DO realize that Bill Gates was prosecuted by the Clinton administration in the 90's, and yet... you still use Windows.
