Adobe Flash Player was blocked because it is out of date.

Went to; update plug in, however it times out after 47% What am I doing wrong? Using google chrome, windows xp.

uninstall first:  http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

then manually download and update using a link on this page:  http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html

P.S. Google Chrome uses its own Flash Player version; the downloads in my link will not update Chrome.
