Adobe flash not working

I can't use adobe flash, and it wont let me reinstall it after uninstalling it, it keeps satying that its still in use even though no programs are using it . I can watch youtube video's only after turning off  my pop-up blocker, but it keeps telling ,me i need to install the lasest version of flash. Flash games and vidoes will not display on my screen all I see is a black box with nothing in it, and flash games will not appear on the screen at all. What can i do to fix this?

Well i went to the link you provided and I confrimmed that it wasnt installed, this time it let me reinstall it (without a problem) but its still not working,I cant play any flash vidoes or games and youtube videos no longer play. As for my operating syste, I'm running on windows 8, using the firefox browser.

If you haven't already, try installing the stand alone version linked below

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

If it still doesn't work, please navigate to both "about:support" and "about:plugins" in Firefox's address bar and paste the content from the two pages into a reply.
